Do you want to learn how you can get great six pack abs quickly? Everyone wants a set of ripped six pack abs, whether for males or females. However, many people are unwilling to put in the effort, and others just cannot succeed no matter how hard they try.

If you want to get six pack abs, you have to set your mind to do it and be very determined first, and then go out to find the RIGHT information on training. Having gotten my own six pack abs now through some hard work, I will provide some of the strategies I learnt in this article.

What Are The Steps Needed To Get Ripped Six Pack Abs?

It is not easy to find the right information for abs training on the internet or anywhere else. There are so many info commercials about the latest abs machines, and I can tell you here that they did not work for me. What you need to change is your lifestyle, eating habits and training program.

1. Build Your Abdominal Muscles

If you want six pack abs, you will need to train your abdominal area first. Some of the better ab exercises including hanging leg and knee raises, alternating crunches, bicycle maneuver and plank. After a period of training, if you still do not see your ripped abs on your stomach, don’t worry because many people are here too. Just go on to the next step.

2. Lower Your Body Fat Percentage

Most people already have a six pack, but removing the layer of fats on their stomach is the real problem. It certainly was for me before. You will probably need to lower your body fat percentage below 10% (or 14% for a woman) if you want to see your abs. This can only be achieved with the right diet and total body workouts that cause your entire body to burn fat.

3. Eating the Right Diet

Your meals should be small and eaten in many quantities (5 to 6) a day. Eating smaller meals trigger a better insulin response from your body that causes less fat storage. Avoid foods high in fats and sugar, and include good carbohydrates like vegetables and fruits, and lean protein into your meals.

The abdominal muscles or the abs are among the sexiest muscles to tone for both men and women. Women find it sexy for a man to have that six-pack abs and men in turn also find women with flat tummies as sexy especially if they are on the beach with their two-piece swimwear on.

Getting a flatter and well-toned abdominals is also one popular goal of many men and women these days, considering the sedentary and unhealthy lifestyle we have that most often show up in the increasing amount of fats in our midsection. To help you find ways in toning your abs, here are some tips and exercises that you might find useful.

- Find your motivation and build your commitment to achieve your results. Even if how effective your routine is if you lack the motivation and commitment to pursue your goals of a flatter stomach, all your efforts will be gone to waste. It is important to understand that once you make it a habit to do the things that can help you have that six-pack abs, it will not be that difficult to reach your goals fast.

- Do your cardio. Hundreds of sit-ups or crunches will not give you a flatter stomach if you do not burn those extra fats around your belly. Yes, we do have abdominal muscles to tone but if they are covered with layers of fat, it will be difficult to see that six-pack abs you want to have. Before toning your abs, burning those fats is a wiser step. You can do this by doing you regular cardio such as walking, jogging, swimming, or doing the sports you love doing.

- Build muscles. Another way to burn those unwanted fats in your belly area is to do strength training. Building muscle mass helps you burn fats and calories along with your cardio but strength training allows you to burn calories even if you are resting.

- Watch what you eat. It is indeed difficult to balance the calories you take in and the amount of fat burning exercises you do to eliminate unwanted fats in your body. If you are serious about getting a flatter tummy and toning your abs, you have to switch to healthy eating – that includes healthy choices of foods and healthy eating habits.

- Now, you can do your crunches. Although these alone will not give you that flatter tummy, doing these abdominal exercises after you have shed those unwanted fats in your belly is an important part of the process. You can do a lot of variations of abdominal exercises such as the different types of crunches. The bicycle is also another helpful abs exercise.

Keep in mind that doing only one of the above exercises and tips may not give you that six-pack abs you are aiming for. Of course, it needs a combination of fat-burning exercises, toning exercises, strength training and a healthy diet to have a flatter and more toned muscles in your belly.
